Vacation Conferences Facilities
The completion of the Binks building adds a host of new, ultra-modern
conference facilities to established conference venues at the
University, and we are proud to announce that our portfolio now boasts
an additional two brand new conference theatres of 300 and 166 seat
capacities, a variety of syndicate rooms, a state-of-the-art computer
suite and a dining area capable of accommodating 150 delegates.
Originally a school, the Beswick building has been transformed into an
area which has two tiered lecture theatres accommodating 102 and 142.
Also available is a flat surfaced conference room which when divided can
accommodate 20 delegates in each area. As one open space this room
accommodates 80.
With natural lighting in all classrooms Cloisters is an ideal location for the smaller meeting or for syndicate rooms as part of a larger event. Rooms vary in capacity from 25 to 35 delegates.
The Downes Sports Hall is a modern building that can house 800
delegates at any one time. It is an excellent facility that can be used
as a single conference venue but also as an exhibition and display area
for use in conjunction with conferences, or to host a complimentary
event.
Our AV Services team offers the full range of assistance for conferences, including the preparation of a wide range of equipment in practically any room on campus.
This equipment includes - slide and overhead projectors, video playback equipment, audio playback equipment, roaming microphones, fixed/portable PA systems and screens and monitors. State-of-the-art multimedia presenters are also available, and are integrated into certain venues.
In addition, photocopier accounts can be arranged, as can email access through temporary logins.
